High performance and low cost baren. The cover (black lid part) is made of plywood. The core is hand-knitted from fibers made with nylon. Made by Kobo Kikuhide.
The diameter is 12 cm. Since the cross section is circular with few irregularities, it is difficult to create scratches and allows for very delicate printing.
Medium is a finely engraved version and is used when regular Murasaki Baren grain feels too coarse.
Fine is used for very delicate printing that would be considered too rough even with Medium. The best in the Murasaki Baren series for delicate printing.
