This is a woodblock used in traditional Japanese ukiyo-e. This is a product with a smooth surface suitable for woodblocks, with a surface water sanded finish using a belt sander. Since it is a single piece of hard mountain cherry wood, it is comfortable to carve and allows for detailed carving. No two boards are the same, so each board has a different personality.
